Lord of Lords, God of Gods, all those who will, focus with us for the issues of fire cessation at East Evans Road, Rogue River, Wimer & Shady Cove. We see the fire now turning into itself and containing all inside the perimeter and self=extinguishing.
The East Evans Creek Fire is currently estimated at 13,089 acres with 5% containment, having grown by 1,538 acres between July 16 and July 17. The blaze is burning between Rogue River and Shady Cove in Jackson and Douglas Counties, with active fire behavior continuing southwest of Boswell Mountain.
Evacuation Status
Current Conditions and Response Both Jackson County and the city of Shady Cove have declared a local State of Emergency. More than 1,650 personnel, 48 crews, 87 engines, and 13 helicopters are assigned to the incident. Shady Cove residents are being asked to conserve water supplies to ensure availability for fire suppression, as the fire danger level in southwest Oregon moved to extreme (Red). Structural resources are actively hardening properties and improving defensible space in neighborhoods near Shady Cove and Trail.
