The importance of amplifying Indigenous voices as Western Alaska needs our positive focus Now!

We join together in God’s Holy Blessings, Benevolence and Miraculous outcomes, to assist and uplift Western Alaska who is facing devastating floods.  We see that all who can, survive this tragedy.  We see the uprooted families and washed away ancestral graves returned to as close to normal as is possible.  We seek and see these blessings for communities in the Yup’ik region, including Kipnuk and Kwigillingok.  All who are navigating loss and uncertainty as the coastline erodes and homes are destroyed, are blessed with faith, belief, astounding courage and miracles.

These beautiful people who live in deep relationship with the land and sea are doubly blessed as the floods recede and all is returned to safety and the many thought missing are now discovered and recovered.

• Support: @Alaska Native Heritage Center, which is accepting new donation items through October 18 at AFN and via Lynden Air Cargo in Anchorage. Requested items include water, nonperishable food, diapers, hygiene supplies, blankets, sleeping bags, cots, flashlights, and air mattresses with pumps.
